Hometown Heroes Night is the Boothbay Harbor Club’s response to the tragedy of September 11. What if, club members said, tragedy should strike home and we should lose a First Responder? And what if that loss was compounded with the realization that we had never properly thanked that emergency services worker for all that he/she did for our community?

Every year since 2001 the Rotary Club has hosted a special night to honor all the local emergency services teams in the Boothbay Region: fire, police, communications, ambulance services, emergency management and the Coast Guard.
