For half a century (    auction history ), the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club's biggest fundraiser has been an annual Charity Auction and Flea Market held on the school football field the first Saturday in August. Auctioneer Bob Foster donates his time and talent; Rotarians "move" treasures donated by local residents, there's a silent auction and a boutique, delicious goodies, and a wonderful time is had by all!

You gotta be kidding. Where did all this stuff come from, anyhow?

Do you think we could pay the Lions to haul all this stuff?

Under the big tent: Bob Foster wields the gavel and more than 200 items are sold, including the object d'arte he discusses here with Craig.

It takes about one year to prepare for the auction, but not only do we have fun and come away with lots of stories, we raise a goodly sum of money which comes back to the community in all we do!
