The Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club has partnered with the Red Cross Mid Coast Chapter to open and operate a disaster shelter, should that ever be needed here in the Boothbay Region. We've undergone training and simulated what would happen if an ice storm or nor'easter hit our area, and as part of the partnership, the Red Cross has also stock-piled emergency equipment here in the community. We hope we don't have to use this training, but we're ready to help our neighbors if the need ever arises.
