Rotary Friendship

Spring is here and so are some of our summer members.  We had a strictly social meeting last week.  Perfect timing to welcome them back and just visit and catch up with one another.  We’re a busy club with many projects but at its heart are the friendships we share with one another.

Welcome Allan Crocker

We’ll take time to visit again this week, but will also welcome Allan Crocker, the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Boothbay High School. Since our club actively supports our local schools with programs like the Interact club, Mock Interview week  and Teacher Appreciation Days along with donations to the Boothbay Region Scholarship Fund we are always interested in hearing from a member of our schools.

People Power

Our weekly meetings are a lot of fun and we are so lucky to have our own clubhouse and the wonderful buffet dinner made by our chef, Amy Ronan.  But, don't forget “People Power” sign ups.  The weekly meeting tasks are another way we get to visit and make friends and get to know one another.  You can sign up on our website or just talk to Jim Herbold.  He’s the People Power coordinator now.  Thank you, Jim.

Barn News

The big, gray Rotary Barn at 66 Montgomery Rd is open for the season again every Saturday morning between 8:30-11:00.  We have a new supply of furniture, tools, household goods and collectibles weekly because of all the donations we receive from this generous community.  If you have donations please call Deb at 207-380-3550 to arrange pick up or drop off.

We had a busy Saturday last week.  There is always something for club members to do at the barn.  It’s a great way to visit so start your Saturday mornings volunteering at the barn.  Remember our Annual Auction, volunteering at the barn is so much easier and just as much fun.  Proceeds from sales at the barn help support our many programs and projects.

This Week's Meeting

The Boothbay Harbor Rotary club meets on Thursday at 6:00 for a buffet dinner followed by fellowship or a program.  Visiting Rotarians and interested community members are always welcome. We meet in our clubhouse at 66 Montgomery Rd.  For More Information: www.boothbayharborrotary.org.
