Dear Boothbay Region Friends and Neighbors:

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Boothbay Harbor. Our Club boasts 58 members from all walks of life who share one common goal: "Service Above Self," and that goal is routinely demonstrated in direct support of diverse humanitarian efforts and service projects.

Together, our members -- through our Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club Foundation -- will raise over $35,000 to support various community service organizations this year.

Among the organizations we aided last year were Rebuilding Together, the Boothbay Region Resources Community Heating Assistance Fund, the Boothbay Region YMCA, the Boothbay Region Food Pantry, the Boothbay Region Scholarship Fund, Camp Sunshine, and the Mid Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross.

We also provided support to programs and services that efficiently and effectively delivered assistance and preventative care to families and children living around the world. These include our on-going commitment to intenational projects including Rotary International's polio eradication program and Safe Passage, an organization that brings help and hope to children living alongside the dump in Guatemala City.

While service is the very essence of our Club, we also offer great weekly meetings and other opportunities for social activities for our members and their families. We meet nearly every Thursday evening at our unique Club House at 29 Oak Street in Boothbay Harbor, where we enjoy a fine dinner prepared by Chef Kim Mills, great guest speakers, and a chance to visit with our Rotary friends.

If you are a visiting Rotarian, come see us and enjoy our meeting. If you are a prospective member, please contact any member of our Club to receive additional information about this wonderful Club and the opportunity it provides to serve others.

Yours in Rotary Service
