Album Name: Rotary Auction 2009 Return to Albums
Album Date: Aug 1, 2009
Description: Our Auction has grown into a lot more than an auction: The Silent Auction has joined the Boutique and Flea Market as critical to success, and the entire weekend is a full-participation, feel-good time for neighbors, friends, and oh, yes, Rotarians. Also this year, the Interact Club did a great job at the Food Concession! All the hard work, the prep, and the 100% club participation paid off with fabulous receipts in a recessionary season!

Auction chair Jim confers with Cy over 6:30 breakfast at Sprucewold Lodge and prepares for the day ahead. No, Millie is not going on the auction block. Lincoln and Chelsie help out during setup. Lobster cooker, anyone? Dwight is at the Tool Table, selling everything including the kitchen sink.
How much am I offered for a backyard playground set? Doug and Mike unload the spinet piano. And the rains come down! Elaine's shoes are the only ones that aren't wet! All these treasures, just waiting for a buyer in the Boutique.
The crowd impatiently waits for the Flea Market to open. Saturday dawns sunny and clear. We wipe down the chairs and everything is ready for the auction to begin. Bob Foster, auctioneer -- and our secret to success. The Interact students staff the Food Concession this year. You're never to young to participate!
This happy bidder is taking home a canoe. Think we can fit any more on this truck? Isn't this the fourth time I've moved this piece of furniture? The cleanup gets done in record time, and then the guys enjoy a well-earned brewski. Frank and Linda put on their green eyeshades and count the cash.
