As Rotarians we know that our neighbors aren't just here in the Region; they can be found throughout the world.
We have a long-time commitment to Safe Passage, the program that makes it possible for children who live on the Guatemala City dump to have a chance to go to school and break the cycle of poverty.
We have supported other programs around the world, including providing a sponsorship for a young man from Haiti, helping to build a library in Vietnam, and supporting a program designed to safe girls from sex traffickers in Thailand.
We also support Rotary's international programs. we give money to Polio Plus, with the hope that soon the world will be rid of that scourge. We host Friends Forever, which brings together Protestant and Catholic youth from Northern Ireland and teaches them that they have more similarities than differences. And our club is actively involved in Rotary's Group Study Exchange, which provides young professionals on an in-depth, month-long view of another country's culture and professional opportunities.
We support ShelterBox, a disaster relief charity, providing shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disasters worldwide.
We also support Rotaplast, a non-profit ,humanitarian organization committed to changing lives
through reconstructive surgery.
